TGI Justice Project is a group of transgender, gender variant, and intersex people fighting against imprisonment, police violence, racism, poverty, and other human rights injustices experienced by Black and brown trans people. While the group’s mission is to abolish the U.S. incarceration system, TGI Justice Project focuses its efforts primarily on those who have experienced incarceration in the California system by providing legal support and re-entry programs.

Advancement Project is involved in a variety of different campaigns and provides multiple opportunities for volunteers to get involved in various projects. Its website provides an abundance of resources and information for anyone who wants to know how they can help. Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) protects immigrant children by providing legal and Black organizations social services to children who have crossed the U.S. border by themselves. Its headquarters are in the Chicago area, but they have chapters in cities across the nation where they provide social activism training to young people.

Through community-focused activities, events and media, Blacks In Technology (BIT) is “Stomping the Divide” by establishing a blueprint of world-class technical excellence and innovation by providing resources and guidance. These Black-led nonprofit organizations are making the world a better and more equitable place on local, national, and global levels. Founded in 2017, Black Visions Collective works to build a political home for Black communities in Minnesota.
