Nondescript Character: Where do you worship?
Tale
Out of prison, mobster Dwight “The General”; Manfred is exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a group of unlikely characters. Sylvester Stallone’s first leading role in a television series. Dwight and the #x27;General' Manfredi: I don’t really go to church. The opening credit sequence shows a variety of photographic and painted images, as well as Oklahoma landmarks, superimposed on the New York landscape: the “Touch the Clouds” statue of the Sioux Indian chief; wears War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (chest plate) attached to the Brooklyn Bridge Gold Digger statue placed on top of the Statue of Liberty.

There are several numbered “Avenues” in the Manhattan borough of New York; which are crossed by smaller numbered streets.. I watched it out of curiosity, with no high expectations, just surprised to see Stallone in a TV series. You can feel the tension in the scenes and it is also quite realistic as far as the plot demands. I wouldn’t say it’s funny, but a few funny scenes where Dwight (Stallone) comes out of 25 years in prison and isn’t fully integrated into the way the world works now; so I think the sudden transition for him will create some interesting obstacles for us as well.
humor and violence
I’m glad someone told him how to use Uber, it was funny while it lasted. It’s a pretty clever script, but not in a tensely witty way that bodes well. Of course, Stallone is very much there, but the rest of the cast looks pretty great. The series just feels like you took the made-for-film gangsters from the early 90s and just dropped them into 2022.
I went in without high expectations
I thought it was just going to be a throwaway show like some of the recent stallion movies are; mostly just relying on his name and performances, but Taylor Sheridan does a good job of writing here, worthy of Stallone’s performances. I think it will be fun watching macho Stallone build a criminal empire from scratch in the middle of Tulsa. I love how oat this western feels sometimes while still being mob. I think the show can be watched and then get buzz and people asking how they never got it before because I haven’t seen that much publicity from Paramount.
, but if the premiere is anything to go by, it could be really interesting viewing
If it continues like this then great, if it gets better it will be fantastic. I’ll add a rating as more episodes come out and update if anything major changes. Season 5, Episode 2, "The Squid Game" Season 2 and more of the most anticipated new and returning series coming to TV and streaming.
