A unique profile of British pop star Robbie Williams
It took a year and a half to get permission to film the lavish dance sequence on Regent Street in London, as the British royal family owns it. Two nights before filming was scheduled, after spending a whole week in rehearsals, Queen Elizabeth II passed away and filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including shop owners and crew, and production insurance did not cover losses due to the death of a monarch.

The producers had to raise additional funds to film the sequence, which was filmed five months later. I didn’t know what to expect from the film, as I thought it would be very strange to see Robbie as a monkey. Eventually, the monkey adds a lot to the film.
Jonno Davies, who plays Robbie, is a brilliant actor
You fall in love with him immediately, and within a few minutes it IS Robbie. Even though you don’t see his face, he certainly knows how to portray it. The story is one that will touch your heart.
I have a lot of respect for him
It’s not just about Robbie the Popstar, but it’s a story about his younger years as well. He dares to be so vulnerable in this film, with many stories about his personal life, career and the challenges he has faced. The music and visuals also add a lot to the film.
The film is a mix of laughs, but certainly tears as well
At the end, I was left speechless, with tears in my eyes, but most of all PROUD of who he is today.
