Tale
CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional lives as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped produce a more authentic execution of gun handling, house cleaning, positioning, crew-based activity, etc…
Great acting from everyone
Best New Show Around, After a disappointing 4th season of Jack Ryan and lackluster performances all around, this felt much better in every way. It looks really well done and the action/fight scenes look great.
this is an original IP that doesn’t turn a male lead into a female lead
I think most of the criticism of this show in the comments section seems to come down to how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operator thing, and I for one, a guy, don’t mind a female-led action show. I also haven’t seen any red flags so far that make every male seem incompetent or anything like that.
My only criticism is that the plot of what this specific group of operatives do really limits the story and might kill it going beyond the plot/villain of a season
Also, at first I thought it was going to be a no nonsense, action first show, but then they kind of threw themselves into the family and I usually get excited about that, but I didn’t like what they did there. it needs to be more comprehensive so they can make a faster paced, more action-packed new Homeland, otherwise it risks becoming too episodic like The Blacklist PS: So far, Nicole Kidman’s part is incredibly small and uneventful and could have been done by anyone else.
It’s entertaining, even without being the History Channel show that some commentators seem to prefer
…We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show…But from what I’ve seen so far, the show could stand on its own with Zaldana without any other A-Lister. TLDR Overall, cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’ve seen so far, everything is incredibly polished and well-made.
