Cillian Murphy is a fan of the film’s original novelist, Claire Keegan
In 1985, devoted Father Bill Furlong uncovers disturbing secrets held by the local monastery and discovers his own shocking truths. He remembers reading “Foster” in “Foster.” on a train and having to pull his hoodie over his face because he was crying. Eileen Furlong: If you want to make it in this life, there are some things you have to ignore.

In 60 Minutes: Red Sea Crisis / Fake Voters / The Search for Cillian Murphy (2024). I could watch Murphy stare at the wall and watch the paint dry while buying a ticket. Here, as Bill Furlong, he conveys a sadness rarely seen or understood by those close to him.

Sometimes they were physically abused and mistreated
She left a mark on the soul of the country, Eileen Walsh. He plays Furlong, he also appeared in the 2003 film Sister Magdalena. Coincidence or not: I recommend watching it as it’s a perfect bookend to a gem of a film.
