Nothing up until this point has even come close to it
Starring Graham Norton and the films: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). I have to say I was lucky enough to watch The Bureau a few years ago and to be honest it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen. There is a correlation between the two series, of course it was mentioned that it was "influenced" by it, but tbh I wasn’t expecting a similar story.
You won’t regret it
Don’t get me wrong, the series up until this point is amazing, great cast, good cinematography, but it wasn’t anything I hadn’t seen in the French version before. It’s too early to tell how it will turn out, but I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t watched The Bureau to watch it. After Fassbender played a professional hitman in David Fincher’s The Killer, and I saw he was in the cast, I knew immediately that he was a great choice for the role.
It’s not something you’d watch while riding a bike on an indoor trainer
These types of shows actually require a certain amount of concentration to watch, so you can keep up with all the characters in the story and the little details about them. Some would even find them slow, maybe even boring, but the qualities and complicated personal struggles that the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, is what I think makes them great. You either love these types of shows or you don’t like them at all, there’s no middle ground.
